Challenge
Colorado 811 is a non-profit organization that serves as the vital communication link between utility and facility owners, excavators, and homeowners. While awareness of the service is strong among developers and industry professionals, many homeowners are still unaware that they should contact Colorado 811 before beginning landscaping or other exterior projects. This lack of awareness can create extremely dangerous situations, as hitting underground utility lines may result in severe injury, property damage, or even loss of life. Increasing homeowner awareness is essential to improving safety across our communities.
Results
Colorado 811 partnered with Serff Creative Group to strengthen its connection with homeowners and industry professionals, while also expanding brand awareness statewide. We refreshed their logo and branding to elevate their presence in Colorado and launched targeted campaigns designed to reach homeowners directly. These campaigns included billboards, flyers, signage, light rail and bus advertising, vehicle wraps, video creative support with BrandVIVA, and community events throughout the Front Range. This strategic exposure has increased call volume to Colorado 811, improved public understanding of the service, and further established their brand as a trusted safety resource.

Video Campaign Collaboration
Colorado 811’s Call Before You Dig Campaign required a video for the campaign. We collaborated with video team from BrandVIVA to create this video spot. Serff Creative Group created the custom illustration, and the BrandVIVA team brought the 2D illustration to life.
